Welcome to Bespoke By Deborah; we are Deborah and Larry; this is our vision and one we manifested for many years investing over a quarter of a million dollars of our own funds, in wholesale and special orders out of The Denver Merchandise Mart, until federal crime committed against we the creators and owners took our lives away… instantly.
We were in the process of creating the retail part of this business, dropping the wholesale aspect, when the federal crime struck us personally.
When one becomes completely homeless with a business in transition, there’s just no way to fix things until the authorities do their jobs, and/or the business owners find an investor.
We’re still waiting on the authorities, i.e FBI, Attorney General and Financial Watchdogs, as they hide behind secret doors doing nothing.
Meanwhile the important part here is that we get back on our feet doing what we do best…creating, selling and making money.
The transition from wholesale to retail is the exact move Ralph Lauren made, and you see what happened to his business…need I say more?
What you see and read here isn’t all we have in mind; some things must be “kept close to the vest” as they say… no pun indented.
Please join us in recreating a once flourishing business by helping us go retail. Our plan is to launch a very unique, high-end, men’s shirt initially; selling them on the Internet, and high-end retail shows, such as The Safari Club International, and others around the country.

We're a little bit Western; a little bit Victorian; a little bit Rock n' Roll and a little bit Uptown/Downtown as well as often American Indian. We believe even Erté would approve. Most of all we're timeless; created & manufactured only in America!
Do you recall the “Fashion Houses” of the twenties, thirties, forties and fifties? How about the old films centered around them? Remember the old black and white movies with fashion house sets?
Well at the very least do you recall I Love Lucy and Lucy's experience with a fashion house in Los Angeles as a model with a horrible, life threatening, sunburn while insisting she walk the runway, in spite of her pain, so she could earn herself a designer suit she just couldn’t, wouldn’t live without? Actually I can relate!
We aim to bring out this same uncompromising need for our fashion and furniture in you; describing your desire to be closely related to Lucy's; EXCITED to say the least!
Actually BESPOKE By Deborah can be considered a metaphor to many of Lucy's spoofs & experiences with the best of the best, including fashion, as she comically addressed her love of such; famous movie stars; fine restaurants; best parties and her need to meet great designers, people, and movie stars along with being number one in their lives.
The metaphor being Lucy brought comedy to the truth; the truth being we all love beauty whether we're wearing it or surrounded by it. We all want to go to the finest restaurants and have what we believe to be great people in our lives. We're doing our best to satisfy these needs in our destination shopping experience where you may spend the whole day, if you choose.
However at BESPOKE By Deborah you won’t be laughing at the fashion and furniture; you’ll be laughing, in joy, because of it and embracing every haute couture, avant garde garment or piece of furniture that you come across on our blog; within our soon-to-be-realized brick and mortar walls, and through your appointment where you’ll sit, sip a coffee, cappuccino or cocktail while seeing some of the most beautiful fashion and furniture of it’s time; timeless pieces. You will be as anxious as Lucy was to add a number of our pieces to your wardrobe or home decor. From the beautifully modeled garments you’ll choose the fashion you’d like to try on just as was done in the twenties, thirties, forties and fifties in the great fashion houses of New York, Paris, London and Hollywood, California.
Perhaps after you’ve seen it all, or even before you do, you’ll want something wonderful designed just for you? There's little in life that brings more joy than a perfect fit in the garment you wear. We pride ourselves in this! We even design wedding dresses, cocktail bags and menswear. And not because we have to or it’s our business, but because we love it!
Yes, please bring your husband; not just to experience your joy, but to also partake himself in the same way; he too can have something custom designed for him. And if he doesn’t care for clothing we’ll entice him with the finest in guns with hand carved gun stocks, hand carved handled knives with blades studded in precious and semi precious stones, silver by the finest silversmiths of the world, cufflinks and button studs that will send his excitement level up a thousand points including other manly trinkets and art. However, just know that the public already stops my husband in the streets, almost daily, wanting to know where he found his latest shirt so even the men in your lives, who believe they don’t do clothes, love these shirts.

All the food groups are represented here in tiny bite size morsels. Cocktails are normal size:>)
At the moment, until we land our investor, please enjoy our blog and come back often as we continually add new visions in fashion; unique interior/exterior pieces of furniture and sculpture just to get you all excited.
The steel sculptures shown here, designed and built by Larry, have been created recently as case studies for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Country Music Hall of Fame; the idea for these pieces is building them at least ten feet tall, while the shadow casts will be as large as forty feet tall, which can be seen from miles away at night with the correct lighting. The shadows captured behind the sculptures are meant to be part of the art.
The steel cowboy, when completed, will be full-bodied (as shown below in a rough sketch). Please see below this the bodice of this cowboy sculpture.
BESPOKE By Deborah, after a 5-year hiatus to write my memoirs and do some scriptwriting with my husband Larry, is bringing us back to our roots; designing bespoke fashion and furniture.
From my Mother's influence I found her love of fine fashion while growing up on her 80,000 acre sheep ranch The Diamond K Ranch in Roseville, California, established in the early 1800s. My love and respect of fine furniture comes from my paternal great grandfather John Breuner who started Breuner's Furniture of Northern California in 1856; eventually moving on to Reno and Arizona as well. Together with my husband, a fine furniture designer and builder, we are re-launching Deborah Breuner Ltd. under the Bespoke By Deborah name. Our goal is to open a brick and mortar flagship store in the near future.
At BESPOKE we will provide our clients with the finest shopping experience they’ve ever ventured into. Would you like a small hint? For the first time ever, the man of the house will be excited about going shopping with his wife or girlfriend while they’ll both be enjoying fine epicurean delights and entertainment as they shop.
MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT
Here at BESPOKE By Deborah we are committed to designing beautiful, tasteful, avant-garde clothing for men women and children as well as fine furniture and sculpture by which to surround themselves. Commissioned pieces in fashion and furniture are our specialties. Creativity is our gift and joy in life. We see fabric as a medium and the body the canvas; likewise Wood/Steel/Stone are mediums while the environment a canvas.
DEBORAH’S PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
While living in Michigan I studied fashion design privately with Professor Christiané McCormick of Parson’s School of Design, New York for many years. I’ve also studied photography at the Glen Fishback School of Photography in Sacramento, California, as well as at the Center Of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. At the same time I studied jewelry design, textiles and drawing while attending CCS.
I have been a member of Fashion Group International, Denver Chapter, and also member of the Detroit Chapter. Charitable involvements include participating in the “Feed the Hungry Auction” sponsored by the Detroit Rattlesnake Club and the Golden Boot Awards Auction. I’ve served on the Board of Directors for the Sun Valley, Idaho Animal Shelter.
I have shown my collections at WESA and the prestigious Western Design Conference Fashion Shows in Cody, Wyoming. I have also shown my collections at The Santa Fe, New Mexico Art Show. Gallery Oscar and Pages Gallery in Sun Valley, Idaho represented some of my commissioned pieces along with The Lifeform Gallery in Aspen, Colorado. For a number of years I conducted trunk shows for Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and have worked with the Academy of Country Music Awards through my fashions.
I’ve created commissioned designs for celebrities; high profile individuals and many wonderful clients such as yourselves! I’ve also produced four ready to wear collections for women, men and children: Scallywags, Diamond K, WolfWhere and WishieWhere. My clothing lines were produced under the name Deborah Breuner Ltd; after a short hiatus I’ve come back under the name of BESPOKE By Deborah.
I have, along with my husband and business partner, Larry maintained a showroom at the Denver Merchandise Mart starting 1998. We closed this part of our business in 2005 in order to open our first retail establishment. Instead Larry and I spent a number of years writing books and screenplays.

LARRY’S PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
In 1998 I joined forces with Deborah Breuner in Deborah Breuner Ltd to launch a wholesale fashion/furniture business at the Merchandise Mart in Denver, Colorado. We were in a very successful business from 1998-2005 when we closed these doors to launch a retail establishment. Instead we both wrote books and screenplays for five years.
Additionally I’m a horse trainer; studied animal husbandry at Cal Poly; attended Fresno State during my college years. From 1985-1990 I both managed a 750-seat restaurant and was a building contractor creating all the fun stuff such as decks hanging off cliffs; pool houses and tree houses. I’m self taught and employed a number of carpenters full time. Soon I was transferring my skills to designing and building furniture.
From very early in my life I was running my uncle’s huge business in Central California and selling, while my uncle traveled the country buying for the business
I’ve been a member of The Academy Of Country Music and the Western Design Conference, in Cody Wyoming, where my furniture and sculptures have been featured, both independently and in partnership with Deborah Breuner Ltd.
Today we’re back to our design roots better than ever, while Deborah and I are life partners as well as business partners.

To paraphrase my mentor, “No one is ever at a loss in life, as long as they have their ability to create.” Larry and I truly want to create a safe, peaceful space where people have the opportunity to experiment and hopefully find their way of expression, because we know how much our creativity has helped us through the tough times and augmented the joy during the good times.
My husband Larry, also my business partner, feels exactly the same way using his favorite mediums. We believe that creativity is within all of us and our mission in life is to find out what our gifts are.
Larry and my long-term goals are to not only create the finest destination shopping, dining and personal care establishment in the world, but also create an Art Ranch where individuals seeking their creativity, and how best to express it, can mentor with those who have found theirs and would like to share their ability with others
We see this ranch as being spacious, located in the mountains with lakes, rivers, fresh air and lots of land. Every discipline of art will be represented, with plenty of activities and exercise to create a healthy constitution. The mentors will not be permanent, but brought in to share their knowledge on a short-term basis. Guests coming to the ranch will sign up for their preferred art. There will be children’s programs as well, since the earlier we learn to tap into our creativity the happier and healthier we will be as we grow up.
